Redkite Charity Sailing Event
Votiva Realty are excited to announce that we are Gold Sponsors for the WomenRace4...Redkite charity sailing event, sponsoring our General Manager, Angie Flemming who will be participating in the 2010 Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
WomenRace4… is a not for profit unincorporated sporting organisation which enters a team of novice female sailors in the Annual Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. This is the 2nd largest yacht race in Australia and the ‘crew’ sail aboard a tall ship ‘South Passage’ in their quest to achieve something remarkable! WomenRace4 have entered the race 3 times and won 1st, 2nd and 2nd respectively in their division bringing home trophies each time.
The ‘journey’ starts in September and culminates with the race at Easter the following year. This is 6 months of team building and most important of all, fundraising for the nominated charity of choice.
Redkite – supporting children with cancer and their families, is the charity of choice for 2010, as it has been since 2006.
So far WomenRace4… has raised over $80,000 for this charity.
The profile of WomenRace4… has grown over the last 4 years due to the support of media giants couriermail.com.au, 4KQ and Channel 7.
Now in its 4th year WomenRace4… has commenced its fundraising activities for 2009/2010.
